Actun Tunichil Muknal  (ATM Cave)
This is the most amazing and interesting adventure we have ever been on.  Belize has many caves used by the ancient Maya for ceremony and sacrifice but the ATM cave may be the most famous because of the human remains, including the "Crystal Maiden", a full skeleton of a young woman.  To access the cave, one must scale boulders and swim through pools and hike through caverns adorned with beautiful crystalline stalactites and other cave formations. This is a wet, thrilling, amazing, magical, educational experience.  Highly recommended.  Click here to see more pictures.

We canoed down Cornhouse Creek, which adjoins the Manatee Bay property.  It was a really beautiful trip, with birds chirping and jungle overgrowth hanging over the creek.  As we got closer to the lagoon, the creek got deeper and wider and then joined the Manatee Bar river.  At the confluence of the creek and river, we saw a manatee breach! I wish the camera was in my hand at the time.

This is a breathtaking canoe trip that would be available to all lot owners at Manatee Bay Waterski Park.

You must go cave tubing while in Belize!  This was so awesome!  Ride a tube down the river through multiple caves with striking cave formations.

The Crystal Cave was especially delightful, with an overabundance of sparkling, crystalline stalactites and stalagmites.
