Where Is Belize?
Just south of the Yucatan
Peninsula of Mexico.
The
lake
is protected from the strong winds of the Caribbean by 3 large bodies of
land but with easy access to the Caribbean through the Manatee Bar
River.
Approximately 2 hours from Houston or
Miami.
Manatee Bay is located in the Western Lagoon,
only an hour drive from Belize City.
Fantastic scuba diving is available at
Turneff Islands, located on the barrier reef just east of the lagoons.
